“Jason Carter builds extraordinary bridges between cultures; we are proud to have Jason with us.” – Sir Sherard Cowper Coles, former British Ambassador to Afghanistan, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
“Jason helps to build much needed relationships across borders that the technological forces driving globalization could never achieve.” – Neville McBain, former British Council Director, Iran, Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.
Jason Carter started The Story Gap as he has often experienced miscommunication between various entities and their given audiences. Jason has been bridging this divide through music and film for over 25 years and saw the need for working more specifically with people outside of film and music in a new way.
As a musician, Jason has performed in over 100 countries, often working alongside UNESCO, the British Council, Diplomatic Missions of the UK, USA and Finland, in places such as Bahrain, Mozambique, China, Russia, Pakistan, North Korea and Afghanistan. As a film maker, Jason has made over 50 films including a full length documentary feature entitled ‘Grain of Sand’, a film about the culture and heritage of the Bahraini Pearl Divers.
Jason has worked with clients such as the Royal University for Women, Ahli United Bank, Kuwait Finance House, KPMG, Al Zain Jewellery, The One, CityBank, Falak Consulting, Agility, Kempinski Hotels and Resorts, ARAMCO, The Central Bank of Bahrain, the British School of Bahrain, St Christophers School, Holmewood House Prep School and has mentored various individuals including the young son of a Merchant Banker in Singapore.
